MY POEM – 28 september 2016
They're for us
Ahead of us everything is
fairly quiet we can hear
enemy lines rolling
We are now
shimmering
ceaselessly
guns to the right
We cannot afford
To await fearfully
lend a hand
I cannot sleep
We neither know nor
can
The result is good
things and looks again
flashes of light
We are cut off
of this sort
broken without
anything
Nevertheless
we repeat the process
again
The assignment was: write a poem using words
or sentences or parts of sentences from 2 chapters of the book. This
was what I came up with.
