Homework? Get control! | Anneke

"I can't".

"O gosh, I really need to start".

"Never mind, I still can't do it".

Do these thoughts pop-up when you really need to finish that important assignment or start studying for a test? Yes? Well then I’ve got some tips to increase control.

Affect your language and thoughts

Starts thinking more positively about the actions you need to fulfill.

Example: Change 'I can't do it' into 'I can't do it now, but later I can’.

Change 'That is so stupid' into 'I don't like it'.

When adjusting your thoughts and speech like this, you'll get more confident about yourself and therefore you'll find the strength to finish and start with your tasks.

Think it. Manage it.

Broaden your chances in success is actually very easy; start thinking that you can!
Eventually, you believe that you will manage your goals and therefore work harder and faster.

Also, you will appreciate the things you accomplished more instead of being happy to be rid of a task.
